  • When and where are AAU tryouts?

    Huntsman Boys Tryouts – Urbana Junior High

    • 4th–6th Grade Boys: Sunday, February 22, 2026 | 6:00–8:00 PM

    • 7th–8th Grade Boys: Saturday, February 21, 2026 | 7:00–8:30 PM

    Huntsman Girls Tryouts – Union Station

    • 3rd–4th Grade Girls: Monday, February 23, 2026 | 6:00–7:00 PM

    • 5th–6th Grade Girls: Monday, February 23, 2026 | 7:00–8:30 PM

    • 7th–8th Grade Girls: Sunday, February 22, 2026 | 2:00–4:00 PM

  • Do you have teams for all grade levels?

    Teams are formed by grade level based on the student’s current grade.

    Do you offer high school teams?

    • Boys High School Team: Currently full for this season.

    • Girls High School Team: High school tryouts are available.

    • A 7th grade girls team will be available next year.

    Are there different levels of AAU?

    Yes. Teams are organized by grade level and are elite travel teams that require tryouts.

    Are AAU teams the only programs offered?

    No.

    • Spring: AAU (elite, travel, tryout-based)

    • Fall & Winter: 4–5 week leagues based out of Bellefontaine

  • How often do AAU teams practice?

    AAU teams practice twice per week.

    Where are practices held?

    Practice locations vary by team and are selected based on:

    • A central location that best accommodates families

    • Gym availability

    When are practices held?

    Practices can be held on various weekdays depending on gym availability.

  • When are tournaments?

    Most tournaments take place in April and May, though some teams may have one outside those months.

    How many tournaments does each team play?

    Typical tournament counts:

    • 4th Grade: 4 tournaments

    • 5th Grade: 5 tournaments

    • 6th Grade: 6 tournaments

    • 7th–11th Grade: 7 tournaments

    Are tournaments on weekends?

    Yes, tournaments are held on weekends.

    When will the tournament schedule be released?

    Tournament schedules will be released at the kickoff meeting.

    AAU costs typically range between $500–$1000, depending on the team.
